Are you preparing to pour concrete at your house, maybe for your driveway or for a little extra sidewalk space, or maybe even for a little barbecue area? Whatever the case may be, there are a couple of things that you should keep in mind while pouring the concrete.
First of all, follow the ingredients on the back of the concrete mix to the letter. If you add too much water, the concrete will not set right, and if you pour to much concrete mix and not enough water, you won’t even be able to mix it at all. Getting the right measurements of everything is of absolute importance.
The second thing that you should know is that because concrete mix has some nasty chemicals in it, you want to avoid at all costs letting bare skin come into contact with the wet concrete, not only because it will stick to your hand, but also because it can leave burn and irritation marks all over your skin, and there’s really no way to get those burn scars off. If you absolutely must lean down into the mixture, make sure you have both work pants or jeans, long sleeve shirt, safety glasses, and gloves for protection for your skin.
Keeping these things in mind will help you to continue on in having a beautiful yard and driveway.
