Have you ever had a leaking faucet in your home? It can be very irritating, but hardly enough to call a plumber. Unfortunately, that drip might be small, but it wastes a lot of water. Just a drop every second can add up to several gallons of water lost each day. Dripping water can also leave ugly stains behind. It is something that usually happens with age for your bathroom fixtures, but this doesn’t mean that it can’t be repaired.
Your first challenge is to figure out where the leak is coming from. Is it due to a replaceable part such as a gasket, o-ring, or washer, or is it because of something more serious, such as corrosion? If the latter is true, your only solution would be to replace the faucet. This doesn’t have to be too expensive, and it is a job that you can do yourself fairly easily, as long as you have the right tools.
